This week's Teenie Weenie Greenieā„¢ comes from James. He recommends adding a footer to your emails that says "Please consider the environment - do you really need to print this". It helps to remind friends, family, and coworkers to think before they print and save paper.

Listener Emails

Once again, we have a bunch of great listener emails. Keep 'em rolling in at hip@greenfeet.com. And don't forget to post articles, links, and speak your mind at our MHTH forum!

  • Disposing of antifreeze. After listening to the show on disposing of hazardous materials, he was shocked (as were Dori and Val) to hear that antifreeze could be disposed of by pouring it down the toilet. He did a little research and found that the EPA does not recommend disposing of antifreeze this way. A better option is to take you excess antifreeze to be recycled at a vehicle repair shop.
  • Bringing green to the classroom. Annie is a new second grade teacher and was looking for some hip, fun, green lesson plans. Val recommends Green Teacher magazine. You might also want to check out EekoWorld and DiscoverySchool.com.
  • Toy recall. Doug wanted to make sure everyone knew that about 1.5 million units of various Thomas & Friends Wooden Railway toys have been voluntarily recalled by the RC2 Corp. due to lead poisoning hazard.
