- Congrats, Al Gore! Al Gore and the U.N.'s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate
Change were announced the winners of the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize for their work drawing
attention to climate change. Way to go, Al! After the win, listener Raven came across a
great article about Al Gore and the IPCC called "Al Gore, the Nobel Prize and the End of the Beginning".
- Lead in lipsticks. A recent product test by the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics found that more than half of the 33
brand-name lipsticks tested contained lead. Read their entire report entitled A Poison Kiss.
